Wandell Inn

We loved our first time stay at the Wandell Inn. The place was super clean and every detail was perfect. Our room was on the ground floor and was very comfortable. The house had a lot of charm and we enjoyed sitting in the living room sipping some drinks after hiking Ricketts Glen. I really appreciated the coffee machine with coffee pods, and the icy cold water bottles in the fridge. We kind of stumbled on this place by accident, and I am sure glad we did. We will definitely return here next time we are in the area. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Stayed one night in the Sullivan Room. The room and bathroom were spotless and tastefully decorated. The air conditioner was on when we arrived which was most welcome as it was hot and rainy. This hotel is historically charming with a modern touch. Easy self-check-in and convenient parking out back. Benton is a sweet well cared for town. Had a good breakfast at the Hoboken down the street.

I rented the Shaw room over the weekend (Friday 10/4-Sunday 10/6) for a friend's wedding and greatly enjoyed my stay! The room was beautiful, clean, and homey, and the location was convenient and easy to find. Inside the room were also the full menus of close by restaurants and cafes for easy navigation and perusal. All the doors had a security code lock that is sent to you on your check-in date, and was self check-in and self check-out as the staff were not physically around (for safety!), so it felt more like I was staying at a home or AirBnB rather than a hotel. There was a number to text or call if I needed anything, though! This is the only reason I didn't rate for service, as I didn't require any at all. I didn't require use of the kitchen (the wedding fed me, and I had a microwave in my room for use), but it was spacious and beautiful and stocked with basic utensils for use. I've traveled a fair bit over the years, and have stayed at various hotels, inns, AirBnBs, even motels, and Wendell Inn is on the top of my list for quality and value. Hopefully I will get the chance to stay with them again in the future!

Stumbled across this place and so happy we made a reservation! Wandell Inn is absolutely beautiful and loved our room--The Rickett's Room. Loved the Jacuzzi bath tub which was very relaxing after a long day of hiking. The coffee maker and bottled water in the room was an added touch. The bed was very comfortable. The host was very informative regarding restaurants and points of interest in the area. Would love to meet her some day. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend to friends and family.

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Wandell Inn. The room was lovely and very clean. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. When I'm out that way in the future, I will definitely stay here again.

Was searching for a place to stay in the area and came across the Wandell Inn. I'm so pleased I made the reservation! Stayed in the Hosler Room for two nights. Beautiful renovation- loved the bathroom, very clean throughout, great mattress, and tastefully decorated. The rest of the home was lovely as well. I only wish I would have had more time to spend relaxing in the living room areas of the Inn. My only request would be to supply an extra washcloth or two. Otherwise, perfection!

Stayed in the Patterson room for one night while passing thru PA. The room and house were very homey, comfortable, and clean, and I loved all the little unique touches. I definitely plan to make this a regular stop in my travels north!

This review is more on the customer service rather then the service itself. Do to complications, things did not go as planned. However, Rebecca worked with us quickly which was appreciated. As the pictures show it's a nice little space, I'd say Victorian style. The town is normal rural Pennsylvania. This house would be a good for outdoorsy with all of the nearby trails, fishing and game land. For the house itself, they have rent by the room like a normal B&B but they are closer to an 'airbnb', guest house or inn as they don't serve breakfast. For people staying multiple days, their kitchen it beautiful. The house would be a good spot for a large group staying together, but still comfortable for the traveling type.
